Dear Boilers,
Wow! Where has 20 years gone?
We have traveled around the world by plane, train, space shuttle, and of course, boat. It has been a lot of fun and it has been a privilege to meet all you over the years. We owe you a BIG thanks for spending a day, a weekend, and sometimes a week with us. Because of you we have had the opportunity to donate our proceeds to many worthwhile charities including Relay for Life, Senior Citizens, Scholarships to the school, After Prom, and a local softball team. All the while keeping our community building afloat.
We want to thank John Chinn for his efforts the past five years. He has pursued a life of politics and was elected County Collector last Fall.
As it has been in the past, the Shrimp Boil is an ongoing week. We have always tried to keep the things that work and upgrade the downfalls to keep it an over 21 family affair.
The attire has blossomed into many unique outfits. Wow! What great imaginations – the hats, shirts, a variety of beads, etc. We would, however, ask for your assistance in keeping some of the activity in check and respect those around you.
The “Maddhoss Jackson” Band will be providing entertainment and also the music machine. We also are adding “The First Annual Shrimp Boil Golf Outing” on Friday. The proceeds will go to local charities. Hopefully, this will be pleasing and entertaining for those “Boilers” who come early.
Primitive camping is available on the grounds and you may set up the Sunday before. Other options are the Shelbina Lake, Best Value Inn (Shelbina), accommodations in Bethel, and shuttle service.
Thanks again for your patronage and see you on the 29th!
